A couple of weeks ago I got a new (used) Camera. It is an 8×10 large format camera. Having never used one in my life it was a bit of a challenge to work with, but after some trial and error and some patience from my lady friend Jolene I was able to get a couple of shots! And Voila! My first 2 paper negatives. For those of you who read my blog and are like “Shaun, I don’t know what you mean when you say, Paper Negative.” Well the short explanation is… back in the days of the darkroom, you would print on paper. So you take that paper and you load it into the camera just as you would do with film. The catch is the sensitivity of the paper is like 4ISO, unlike film which typically ranges from 50 to 800. Therefore you have to have a model who can just sit there super still! And thats when you ask your girlfriend to come and pose for you because she owes you! Then you take that paper out of the camera, develop it in some magic chemical mixture and you end up with a negative image. Anyway enough rambling. Pictures!!!!
